Rear Bumper Replacement

Hi all,

The rear bumper on my pre face lift CTS has a small crack, previous owner blamed his wife . It's not a major issue but at some point I'll get it repaired, but I thought I'd also consider replacing the bumper itself. A few questions:

1.) Is the rear bumper on the pre face lifts standard across all the Corollas of that period? E.g. Will a T3 bumper do the job?

2.) I'm not really into modding the car but would be interested in any other suggestions for alternative rear bumpers that people may have?

For anyone else reading this thinking of the same thing it's worth checking this rather handy topic from nrgizerbunny on how to remove the rear bumper.

the Shell of the ts nd t3 are basically the same so a t3should fit, and i think tho dont quote me, that all late model corolla rear bumpers are compatible so a facelift t sport or compressor bumper should fit to, its a bit more awkward to fit the front tho as the lights and i think wings are slighty different, so if you want them to match it'll be a bit harder

Thanks TheSpannerMonkey - useful information. Does anyone else know (from experience?) if this is definitely the case, I thought the pre face lift and face lift rear bumpers were slightly different?

Thanks for the information on the front also, I'm only considering the rear due to the slight crack on mine.

you could even fit a facelift bumper as the general body shape didnt alter.

the facelift and prefacelift bumpers have the same mounting points so you should have no trouble. I believe the3 and 5 door cars have the same bumper so that opens up the inventory a bit more but please check on that last statement!

Facelift rear bumper will fit with no problems.... it's been done before

As has been stated, cosmetically, the rear bumpers are different between facelift and pre-facelift, but the mount points are identical.
