Trunk And Gasdoor Latch/lock

Not sure why im having such a problem tracking down a lock for my trunk and gas door.......... I have a 1991 Toyota Tercel........just bought it a few weeks ago......and i've never been able to get into the trunk.... the key goes in but will not turn.....there is no release anywhere else...... So i figure, just buy a new one and drill out the old one....... only problem is NOBODY seems to have a lock for a toyota or even just a similar compatible one...... Anyone on here able to help me out? Or even direct me to a vendor that would sell a lock kit compatible with my car?? I tried all the local scrap yards.....but none had any toyotas...... Any input much appreciated :)
