How To Replace License Plate Lights?

Hi, im new here so go easy on me. :)

I'm having trouble changing my Corolla 2010 hatch back plate lights.

I removed the wire but can not get the bulb out as its stuck to this clear plastic cover.

can anyone guide me how to remove the bulb.

Corolla Ascent? And im from Australia. :)

Oh we do have the exact same model sold here in the UK however it is badges as an Auris.. You should make this more clear to some users because many people dont know that the corolla ascent is really an auris :P on the back of the boot there should be a panel that you can remove or maybe ther are some small areas where you can dislodge the light surrond to change the bulb and then fasten it again :S

Hit it with a hammer... Doesn't always have the most desired outcome.. But I promise it will give you Access to the light fitting
