Thanks

My dealer wrote it in my sevice book.

BTW, what exactly do I need to do with regards the DVLA. The dealer only mentioned it after I had asked, but didn't really say what I needed to do. He did say they also needed to fill out a form, but they couldn't get hold of one at the time, and would send it on to me once they had it. So far, after a week, nothing!!

My Dealer has given Me a new engine number but it is two digits shorter than the old one. So that is why I want to check it out before filling any forms ...

SCHM. Thanks for that Mate !! Is the number visible ?? Or is it hidden away out of site ????

Charlie, it might be staring me in the face, but with the engine cover off, to be honest, it is not obvious on mine.

Too much gubbins like EGR and hoses in the way.

Whether with the under-tray off (fairly easy) it is visible from underneath (and/or with mirror???) I don't know.

Like I said, it's probably ****ing obvious, I just can't see it.

Ha Ha Thanks Mate I cant see it either !! Thats why I asked.. You would think it would have to be reasonably visible or why put the flipping number there in the first place ?? I have various inspection mirrors up at Home so will take off the tray and have a prod and a poke when I get Home late next week .. Unless of course Someone else ( Cmon Anchs) knows where the booooger is ..
