Exhaust Tip

Hi All,

I am after some advise.

I own a Mk2 Yaris 1.4D, and would like to add an exhaust tip, purely to enhance the look.

I know the later SR Yaris came with this.

I am struggling to find anything that will fit my car.

Being a diesel the exhaust is pointing downward.

Has anyone fitted anything similar or know where I could get a suitable tip from?

There was one of these fitted to my Yaris when purchased which I have since removed.

I noticed that when stood idling the tailpipe and finisher were vibrating quite severely. I removed the finisher and at idle the tailpipe now vibrates only slightly. It would seem that the extra mass of the finisher could have been amplifying the vibration. I did check the fitting dimension and it was correct.

What was happening while driving I don't know but rather than risk extra stress on the exhaust or rear mounts I erred on the side of caution.

I have to say though, it did look better than a piece of potentially rusting steel tube sticking out of the back end.
