2012 Keyfob Addition

I see differing advice regarding whether a new keyfob can be added to a 2012 Corolla without dealer involvement.

Can I add a new keyfob to my 2012 Corolla using the online instructions/videos; shutting/opening door, inserting/removing key, etc. ???

Or is there no way to add the key without specialized hardware connected to the OBD2 port?

We haven't had the Corolla in the UK since 2007 - so no one can give you a definite answer for your car. Try the sequence and see, but bear in mind that some have found the sequence to work and some haven't.
