Remote Locking Corolla T3 Mj54

Anyone come across this prob, in the winter eg ( cold weather) the remote locking/unlocking using the keyfob will not work, when the weather warms up it starts to work again, and works all through the summer, this has occurred last 2/3 years, i know it is weird but true never the less. when it first stopped working took it to the local Toyota dealer, waste of time, and money.

Sounds like a poor solder joint or contact which shrinks when cold and so breaks the circuit.

The problem is , which device is at fault, the key part or the receiver in the car ?

The orignal car had 2 remotes and one emergency key, do you have / have you tried the second remote to prove where the fault lies ?

If you have only the one remote, pop it in the fridge for 30 mins and see if it works once cooled down...
