Corolla 2004 Jammed Boot

Hi all,

Just a quick one, I've recently purchased a 2004 Corolla and the boot seems to be jammed.

The central locking seems to be working fine for the rest of the doors, however the car boot just won't open at all, I'm having to access the boot via the back seats, anyone got any ideas on what could be causing this?

Have you tried opening the boot with the key ?

It should unlock by turning the key to the right. ( just tried on my hatch and could not move it at all -probably siezed, as its never used )

Do you mean boot as on the saloon model or hatch as on the 5 door ?

Edit - got my lock unseized, afraid I was wrong above , its turn to the Left to unlock, to the Right to Lock
