Rear Door Will Not Open From The Inside Or Outside

The rear door of my Totota Yaris 2006 will not open from the inside or outside, either using the key fob or the lever inside the jammed rear door. I've managed to remove the inner door panel without damage (difficult) but still cannot unjam the lock. I've tried pulling directly on the cable connections to the inner door lever and soaked the lock in WD40. No joy. Help........ has anyone solved this problem already.
