Cruise Control Stopped Working

The cruise control on our 1994 Celica GT just stopped working one day. When I press the on/off button, the dashboard light for cruise comes on... but when I set the cruise, it does not activate and keep the desired speed. Where can I start for troubleshooting the cruise control? A fuse? A connector or wire? Or perhaps did the cruise control on the engine fail?

Thanks.

Hi hummingbird, just to start with the basics....are your brake lights all working ?,

if not.... could be the bulbs or the switch .

i have the same problem with my gen 5.

you set the cruise control on with the level, green light comes on for a second then starts flashing, but no cruise control.

also even when u switch it off ( or do you think you do ) green light flashes,

until engine is switched off,.

im open to some trouble shooting tips too.
