Vin Number

Hello Everyone

We have just bought a new 2004 CDX Silver Uk Yaris, 5 door 1.3L

We are trying to find the VIN Number and use it on an HPI Check.

There is a plate on the left of the Engine bay with this number stamped in it VN KKL 12370 A0****5

It also has a model number SCP 12R CHH GKW

I starred out some of the numbers!

Could anyone tell me if this is the right place for the Vin Number for a HPI Check or is it stamped into the metal of the car somewhere else? It keeps throwing me out of the HPI check we have done on the car saying that its the wrong VIN Number. Everything else checks out in the HPI , not stolen, right off etc. I dont think I have got the right number, as the car is imaculate and the plate in the engine bay is clean with no evidence of tampering or having been moved etc. The car is from a Trader and has the log book etc. All the details check out fine apart from this blasted Vin number!

PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Many thanks.

The Vin plate should be easily seen under the bonnet on the metal plate and on most modern cars in the right hand bottom of the windscreen if you are looking at the front of the bonnet...

If you can get the VIN before 8:30am I should be able to HPI it for free for you :D
