Looking at buying a tuning box to improve the driveability of my 2005 2.0 D4D but i need to know which engine version and power output I have. How can you identify the different power output versions? Is there a list of engine numbers that correspond to certain engine BHP?

No-one know where i can get this information?

I just need to know if my engine is the 110BHP, 116BHP or the 126BHP version! Can this be found from the engine or chassis number?

Normally this kind of information should be found in your glove compartment,

(some kind of registration documents). If not you could make a phone call to, or pop in

to your local toyota dealer, and they should be happy to give you the information

if you tell them your registration number.

Hi Dave,

i'm pretty sure your 2005 2.0 d4d will be 116bhp as the 126 bhp came out in the 2006/7 model but you can check with a Toyota dealer to be 100%.

If yours has cambelt with a plastic cover that will be correct at 116bhp as the 126bhp engine has a chain drive cam in a metal housing.

Hope this helps mate but as always I stand to be corrected on this.

Regards Pete.

If you have a text on the side of the motor saying: 1CD-FTV = 116hv on that year model.
