2.8 Flywheel

hi am i right in thinking if i get a soiled flywheel or a UK 2.8 this will fit my 1992/3 2.4td surf , which now has a duel-mass flywheel, i will then have to buy a clutch kit to fit the soiled flywheel, hope you understand what i mean thanks

Hi mate,

Don't know about the 2.8,although somebody else will no doubt be able to help. What I did was get a new clutch and a solid flywheel from a breaker for a 2.4. Googles your best bet, that way you might be able to save yourself a few quid. It took me and a mate a morning fitting it kerbside on axle stands. The hardest part was lining the gearbox up and pushing it back in place while lying underneath,it weighs a ton,lol.

Cant comment of fitting to a Surf but there is no UK 2.8 pickup, they're all imports with dual mass flywheel too. I replaced my dual mass one with a clutch kit and solid flywheel
