can any one tell me how to get the hydrolic tensioner back in and stay in ,just thought id ask in advance as i have to do the headgasket on my car cheers wayne :D

Push the piston down with something then put a small allen key through the pin hole to stop it coming back out.

use a vice or a g clamp , as clogwise said there is a small hole for you to insert something at the bottom to retain it . if the piston is easy to push down , buy a new tensioner.
