Rear Bumper Lights

T180 BT20

Hi all,

I was behind another T180 in Belfast yesterday and noticed he had connected up the lower rear lights (inset into the bumper) and they were on with the sidelights, has anyone else done this and is it an easy job via the wiring loom or is it a bit more complex??

Cheers

Ron

You mean the rear fog lights?

It would appear they are supplied via a relay, which in turn is supplied via the "T-LP" relay.

Disconnecting the RFOG control wire (yellow) from the body controller and grounding it, would probably do it.

Are you sure he hadn't just got the front fogs on and headlamps off? I'm fairly sure the front (and rear) fogs come on without the headlamps, but can't be bothered to get up and go and check.

Don't you think the rear fogs will be a bit bright for normal use? Change the bulbs as well?

Don't all vehicles after a certain date, have to have rear fogs?

Thanks for the detailed reply!

His lights werent bright at all so I suspect he has either fitted a dual filament bulb holder with one bulb running off the side lights or else fitted lower wattage fog light bulbs, not good for MOT!

It looked good though,

Thanks again

Ron
