In this snowy weather is it traction control on or off on the cts?

In my manual it says new snow traction control off.

Is this the right move?

I find it depnds what you are doing jus normal driving on but trying to pull away up a ever so slight incline turn it off and jus go for it, other wise it jus cuts power and you dont go anywhere, it slighty annoys me that you cant really get the back end out in the snow, as i tried in my work compound and it doesnt like to do it.

This sounds about right as I found today going up a hill with some mild ice/snow on it that even though I was in second gear and the car was pulling O.K. when I hit the ice/snow the car seemed to judder.

Going up the same hill, same speed, same conditions later the same day with the traction control off the car went up O.K.

As for back end out you cannot beat the days of the mark 2 escort or the capri.

If you are struggling for grip to move off, if you are struggling for keeping it straight once moving on.
