Hi

Just a quick one :)

Is it safe to lift the rear of a yaris T-sport by jacking under the centre of the rear beam (axle), before I go ahead!

If not how would you recommend lifting the rear?

Thanks very much

It may be safe but then again you may bend something and the rear tracking may suffer - I would suggest you stick to using the approved jacking points:)

Do not use the rear torsion beam as a jacking point, not recommended at all as you may damage it causing it to crack and break under load. You can jack the rear end up of the 'lesser' Yaris by using the approved jacking point, which can be found in the center underneath the rear valance beneath the bumper, I would assume there is something similar with the T-sport.

Do what Stan says, there is a designated Jacking point right in the centre of the rear behind the bumper.

If you jack it from the sides, do it under the sills where the cut out points are for, but these are for the scissor jack in the boot.

Have a look in the owners book, it shows you exactly where the jack point is.
