Hello!

Just a quick query, does my 2004 2.0 T4 have a cam timing belt or chain? Some research and googling suggests a chain, but someone mentioned a belt. There is noting in the book about a belt having been done on a service, and with 87000 on the clock, if it is a belt, its well past its change!

2.0 vvti petrol = chain

2.0 d4d diesel = belt.

Every petrol avensis manufactured 2001 - 2010 is chain driven as far as I know.

Oops, sorry, it's a vvti Petrol engine.
