Turbo Kit

probably asked before but will this turbo kit be any good ? reliability wise will it be well made etc

but to get supercharged your talking 3-4k and this turbo kit is half of that and double the gains ?

need some serious answers here as ive been wanting to supercharge but seeing the gains of a turbo (and ive always wanted a turbo car) i think for the price the turbo would win. ( think im getting finished at work and if i move into another job straight away im going to have all my pay off to play with :) )

question...

will this kit be reliable ?

will i need some low compresion piston kit ?

will it be a major job ?

will it be a major job ? YEEEEEEEEEEEA!

Buy a vehicle which has already been turboed, with a better suspension set up and is not FWD lol.

your a stroker gaz, you need no kit.

still loving the clutch. propper consideration is going into clutch/lsd and if the gearbox is open steel caged bearings. mmmmmmmmmmm whiney power of direct joyage! :P

I DEF recommend the Quaife LSD, ever since ive got mine fit i havnt really been getting much wheel spin and going round bend is AMAZING. Expensive Diff but betta than other Diffs bcos its gear run, so it doesnt need much maintenance.

Back to Topic, the kit seems like a pretty good piece of kit, it seems to use good products and its not a bad price, my question is wud the engine need n e internal work? and also wud u need a standalone to run it properly?

If i was doing the turbo conversion, i would at least fit low compression Forged pistons to the freshly bored or linered block for starters.

Steel Forged rods, uprated oil pump and a larger capacity cooling system to control the increase in generated heat will need to be looked at also.

is that Quaife LSD better than the TRD LSD?

Ive neva experienced the TRD LSD, but it is cheaper, but isit clutch or gear run? the good thing about the Quaife diff is u dnt need to maintain it and its reliable, that is y most big manufactures use Quaife Diffs

To be fair, Quaife are drive train specialists. TRD are not. Id always choose the specialist kit over generic, unless theres a damn good reason to buy the non spec.

Ive got friends that use have fitted/used Quaife and Torsen diffs. Both rated highly for the respective applications.
