Need To Replace Stereo On 2004 Prado Tx

Hello all,

We recently imported a 2004 Prado TX (120 Series) from Japan and the stereo, radio, CD/DVD, Nay system doesn't work. We aren't sure if its wiring or the device itself and the Toyota dealership says they do not have the stock to replace the unit and cannot tell us what the factory stock is.

Does anyone know what stereo would fit in our model? I read that we need a double din model, but are there any recommendations on what to buy? Did anyone else have similar problems with theirs? We don't even have a radio signal.

Thanks for sending those links along. I hope these units will work fine with our Prado, and that more importantly, we can find someone to reputable to put them in!

Have you heard of stereo issues in Prados? Should we be concerned its more than just the wiring? We are taking the car in to the dealership in a few days, but the last time we brought it in, they didn't seem to know what was going on....

Landcruiser stereos are Fujistu and are junk.

Any car stereo shop will have one to fit.

They also sell wiring harness adapters

I thought they were all the same size these days.

Stay away from the dealer,they are as useless as !Removed! on a bull
