Hi all

Its time i did some general servicing and spanner time on my t sport

What type of oil, plugs and filters do you recommend?

also need a new induction cone filter as i had a powertec stainless one and it has started to rust! so much for stainless!

What filter do you think are the best dont want to spend too much but want a decent filter!

Thinking of some lowing springs what type do you have fitted?

Thanks

Phil

Hi, I can't really shed any light on servicing as I haven't serviced mine yet.

But I have 35mm Komi springs on mine, cost me £120 fitted them myself. The best mod I have done so far.

Take it that it handles better but do you loose a majority of the every day ride comfort?

You do loose some comfort but it is worth it in the gains you get, car rolls less and is stiffer in the corners.

You dont loose the comfort to the extent of running over a bag of crisps an you feel it but more of feel some bumps a bit more.

i would buy toyota original filters, plugs are Denso, I use Mobil 1 oil.

Having had the car for a while, I wouldn't recommend the use of any air filter that uses oil on it. This wrecks the MAF sensor, if you are getting less than 370miles on a tank without using lift, I'd stick a large amount of money on it that the platinum wire in the MAF sensor is shot.

Never use anything other than Denso, the toyota recommended. for spark plugs you can buy the Denso SK20R11 irridium spark plugs, Fantastic bit of kit & would probably last a decade.

Oil: Castrol Magnatec 10W40

Air Filter: After-Market GREEN Twin Cone Air Filter

Oil Filter: Standard Bosch (recommended by Toyota)

Plugs: NGK Iridium, these cost a bomb but are superb, do a spark test and see just how strong they are.
