Brakes On The Iq3

PLEASE CAN SOMEBODY TELL ME WHY THEY PUT DRUM BRAKES ON THE REAR OF THE IQ3 AND NOT DISCS?

I have disks on my iq3 (French specs)

Every countries has in importer (Frey Group in CH/FL and CZ..., Toyota Deutschland in D; Toyota (GB)in ...).

And each can order their cars with their own specs for their distribution area.

iQs with 1.0l have drums in Switzerland

...

ALL iQs in Germany have discs

....

iQs in UK ????

It depends on the country and the pricing for the iQ.

Germany high price includes discs and glovebag as standard ....

Our IQ3 has rear disks. UK May 2010 deivery.

That said I think that the advertising booklet says drum brakes on an IQ3.

I think the drum brakes look silly inside the wheels.

I wondered the same after reading the brochure, very confusing I couldnt decide between the IQ2 and IQ3 drove both but went for the IQ2 as I only travel 5 miles to work on A roads. collect nxt wk :)

It has been nearly a month since I ordered my iQ3 and I still don't have a delivery date other than "8-12 weeks." :(

Markypancake Have you ordered anything special on the car ? What colour are you having?

I managed to get the dealer to put chrome mirrors (liked them on the IQ3) on mine along with mats,Boot Mat & Glove Bag plus nearly £1000 of list price so think I did quite well!

I know local to me 2 dealers have pre reg IQ3's with only 10miles on the clock at £9995.00 bargain but I decided to go for the IQ2 from a dealer that I know will look after me as we already have a Rav4 from them.
