Hi i have a problom with my 53 rav4 i was going along mway when i had to brake at 70 mph the steering wheel juddered vilently but there is no prob at town speed can any one

could be pad material on front disc/s

More than likely warped discs, get the run out measured and skim/replace as required

naughty naughty - its not warped discs but discs that have a residual pad material stuck to the disc face. The disc itself is perfect...its whats stuck onto it thats not. If you eat circular pies, you'd know what I mean :lol:

Not necessarily on that one bothmeister. Could well be bog standard warped discs :thumbsup:

now boys - don't be silly. How on earth could any one warp a disc on a d4d RAV4 ??? Completely impossible unless its been driven over an elephant grid.

I've had the same judder at high speed and it wasn't due to low flying haggis but sediment on the brake discs caused by a sticking caliper.

I reckon its one for a warranty claim myself, but who am I to throw dispertions (a type of north country pie) at Toyota.
