Radio Unit

Hello all, could anyone please offer me some advice?

I have just purchased a rav4 automatic vx 2003. I am told there are certain units for this model that offer a sat nav facility. I would much rather have a built in unit than a tom tom etc. Can anyone advise, is this true? I would greatly appreciate any help.

Anything made by Toyota would be in excess of £1000 Claire so that would silly. There are aftermarket options of which I know nothing about however I'm sure somebody will be along soon who has fitted something different

The Toyota navigation system was an option but the picture in the brochure (Sept 2002) looks a bit basic to modern day units. Perhaps a later unit is also compatible. I think there have been threads about changing the head unit , might be worth a search.
