Performance Ecu

I have been seriously considering buying the C-ONE ecu from Nengun but you have to send off your ECU (as a swap)

I can't do without my car for possibly a month so would it be possible to get an ECU from a scrap dealer with a T-Sport and send that?

what do you think?

Yes that would be possible, can't see why they wouldn't let you do that.

I'm not sure about the gains though, I haven't ever heard of it.

why go for the c-one dude, its a good product dont get me wrong but theres alot more that is easier for you to get hold of and to gain more power.

Motec do a ECU for our car here ready in the UK, Failing that find a power FC off a celica and have a custom harness made to run in parralell with your stock ecu.

Power fc until now is still the cheapest to get into the corolla with the most gains. I think hands down the best bang for buck mod NA would have to be a power fc with a intake and exhaust.

Apparently it is a programmable ECU so you get a bit of tunability with it, want something different than for the car, i don't really like following the norm, the only problem really is the £1600 price tag (not including import TAX)!

billiant Farhanali, i might look at the Motec one or the power FC one, still need to get my exhaust sorted but other than that almost there!

i did not want to pay the import tax on the ecu as that would be quite alot but if there are a few out there UK based that would be much better.

Its not as simple a sending an ecu from another car, your keys are coded to your ecu, the car would not start.

It would involve a trip to a main dealer to get your keys coded to that ecu.

The power FC runs in parallel to the stock ecu

the US guys used to use the hydra before the PFC, problem was with the air conditioning and the water temp gauge not working.

Its one of the reasons the PFC is so in demand in the US corolla market atm as it can run alongside the stock ecu allows full maps but also retains stock driveability and comfort thumbsup.gif

I think you would end up losing the VSC and traction control with the aftermarket jobs. Does anyone know what the wiring diagram for the parallel ecu is ie apexi power fc?

find all the info here

its a complete stand alone system with plenty of inputs and outputs. should be able to control everything really and leave plenty of room for a turbo etc to be fitted later if needed
