Hi my toyota auris multi mode lost transmission and went into neutral when overtaking.the engine revs went up to 6000 but power to the wheels was lost.

this was a potentially a very serious situation.The car remained in neutral and could not be driven .The car had to be recovered by road side assistance and carried to the nearest toyota garage.Ironically it had just come from it's first service.Has any member had a similar experience? AGCM
