Avensis D4D Idle Control Valve Location/price

Recommended Posts

I'm having problems with my 2005 D4D Avensis.

The symptoms have been these: when slowing down to, say traffic lights, the idle starts going up and down and from time to time the engine stops. That has now been the problem for couple of months.

Today it went worse. It doesn't idle at all!

Now, I've heard the problem is possibly idle speed control/stabilisation valve. Am I on the right track?

Any idea where this valve is? Any idea where to get one? I live in Finland and have bought several times from eBay.co.uk, and believe this part is relatively small, so the postage shouldn't be too much...

Thanks for your help :)

Had the same problem. Idle getting worse over time and finally no idle at all. Solved by cleaning the throttle body. There is no idle control valve for T250 petrol engine.
