Hi everyone.

I just bought a Prado J120 2,7 petrol 2004 model,when i accelerate i feel a vibration from underneath the car,has anyone experienced this sought of thing?

Yes all the plugs are new and the car has done a complete service.

whatt is this vibration like ?? is it an engine's or looks like either part fixing losing? cheers

Could be a worn UJ on the propshaft

Sorry for the ignorance, but what is a uj?

It doesnt seem to be an engine vibration i have had a look with the bonnet open and revving the car and cant seem to see or feel anything.

The vibration i get is through my feet and only at certain revs and it is very subtle but there.

Only at certain revs, or only at certain speeds?

If revs related it has to be engine - either a slight misfire, a cylinder down on compression, an engine mount etc

If speed related it could be a propshaft or drive shaft

(UJ = Universal joint. There's one at each end of a propshaft)

PS. Did they grease the propshaft at the service? They should have, but its often missed.

Sorry i meant to say at certain speeds and not revs.Ill check to see if they greased the universals.
