Check Engine B2799 Engine Immobilizer

Hey guys, first time poster here.

I own a 2006 corolla. In 2006, after a few months driving, my car would stall and then shut down. Towed it to the dealer.

They have to replace the ECM module, basically the computer in the car.

Now 4 years later, I drive to work, 8 hours later, I turn my car on, and I get the CHECK ENGINE light.

My mechanic found this code: 2799 engine immobilizer system fault.

The car starts and runs perfectly fine.

My question is, I have 40,000 miles on it, what should I do? This is not something I did, its their crappy computer system. My mechanic got the light out and he said if it comes on again, call the dealer.

Has anyone ever dealt with this before?
