Get one for a Peugeot 107 or Citroen C1, they will fit without any problems

and are available through many different channels in various qualities.

how does the ebay one fix into the aygo ?

Not. Avoid those at all cost! They need to sit over the center console, but can't be

screwed down. You can't lean on them and they interfere with use of the handbrake.

I don't like armrests at all, but these universal thingies are really awfull...

Try here: Arm Rest

For more information have a look at this http://www.toyotaown...howtopic=106654

With screws, similar to the one in the How To topic above.

Although I have to agree with Jan that the 107 version is very good but it costs £ 90.00. :crybaby:

I wonder what the difference is?

That last one has a foot that is made to exactly fit over the rear cupholder/cointray,

so it's a matter of placing it and turning 4 screws into the plastic.

The universal thing has a sort of "bridge" construction that is supposed

to sit over the handbrake, so it can extend in width and lenght.

But it can't swivel up to access the handbrake and depending on brand/type the

"bridge" won't even extend enough to actually support itself on the floor of the car...

Someone on oud Dutch forum DID fit one of those universal thingies in his car,

but he had to modify it quite extensively to have it be sturdy enough to use...

If the armrests are THAT expensive in the UK, you might try and get one from The Netherlands,

don;t know what postage would cost, but you can get one for €65 excl. P&P HERE

At the current exchange rates that's little over £57. If the weight is less than 5 kilo's regular

shipping through the Dutch mail system would be about €20 to the UK, so you might

be able to get one for about £75. Still a lot of money, but it IS over 15% less :D

Just send an email to that Dutch company: I'm 95% sure they'll understand English :D

Thanks Jan! As always very helpful, and informative. Yeah, I noticed the fitting piece wasnt the same, and I didnt think it would be. To be honest, in my opinion the one not suited for the Ayo does look a bit like its "tacked" on. If I m right there is one from the Netherlands on eBay. I d like to see a armrest fitted from a distance before I d consider. I ve seen the photos on your link but only close ups.

Keep up the good work Jan. With you this club would be less informative.

No, none of these aremrests are "original", at least not for the Aygo...

The top two are aftermarket by Botec, as linked by me a couple of messages earlier,

the third is of a different model, made by Loweb (linked in my text) and the fourth

is an original Citroën Armrest. This one is VERY expensive; more than €160 AFAIK.

The last picture is the "universal" thingie like the one on eBay mounted...
