Wheel Trim Fitting?

Is there any trick to this with the Aygo's wheel trims, as after several attempts I've still not managed to refit one after changing the wheel.

I've never had a car where they've been so stubborn to go back on, also noticing a lot of Aygo/107/C1s driving around with missing trims so I don't think I'm the only one.

Just whack a small part of the outer rim and work around the wheel, you don't need to whack the whole thing on at once, it wont crack. Oh, and make sure the valve is poking out of one of the holes or else it wont go on at all :)

I'll give it another go but that's what I've been doing and when I get to the last part of the rim the clip is sitting on the edge of the rim, if all else fails I can ask someone to show me how to do it when I'm at the garage looking at a Yaris later this week.

Squat at the side of the wheel.

Put the trim roughly in place MAKING SURE THE VALVE IS IN THE RIGHT PLACE.

Start at the bottom, fit the bottom half of the wheel trim.

Shuffle towards the car and butt your knees against the trim where you have shoved it on.

(About 3 o'clock & 9 o'clock).

Lean against the trim with your knees.

You should now be able to push the remaining third of the wheel trim into place

with a smack of the palm of your hand!

Your knees will stop the bottom half springing out.

Mr Sheen or similar silicone based polish on

the wheel rim & the bits of the trim which slide into place also helps. (before you start).

Ian.
