Are there any engines that are some what easy to swap into a 92 Paseo?

I have a 1992 Paseo with a blown engine and would like to put an engine with more power.

Thanks!

Depends what you class as easy.

The easiest would be Starlet Turbo - same engine mounts. 1300cc but turbo so 133bhp as standard.

However, not straight swap as you have to modify bodywork for intercooler and also some wiring.

Thanks for the reply.

My def. of "easy" is that it doesn't require extensive mod's, such as too much welding (anything more than moving motor mounts), wiring is no big deal as long as i can get info on how to do it.

Where might i be able to get a starlet engine? and how much?

are there any american cars i can get an engine out of?

thanks!

Call Fensport if you're in the UK, but if you're in the states, I really don't have a reccomendation. Just keep your eyes open on eBay.

Otherwise you're going to have do a bunch of work to fit any other engine, Japanese or American

but i will watch eBay, thank you very much!

does the starlet engine have potential? or would i be better of getting a stock paseo engine and putting a turbo on it?
