T Sport Clutch Problem

Hi all

I have recently purchased a Corolla T Sport, 05 plate, with 49,000 miles.

I love the car and the performance, but think I might have a problem with the clutch.

The clutch seems hard to press, compared to other I have had, and when I change gear above about 4000-5000 rpm, there is a slight vibration through the pedal and quite a loud burr noise.

Can anybody tell me if this is normal, or what it might be

Thanks

Colin

sounds like the release bearing is toast.

Thanks, do you think it would make the clutch stiff as well?

The clutches on all toyotas I have driven are stiffer I find than on most other cars.

From what people have said on here mine included there can be a lot of noise from the TS gearboxes especially when going down the gears.

Not saying this is the case in your situation as I have not heard it.

My Compressor's clutch vibrates quite a lot when I change gear at highish revs, it always has done since I have had it but it does not make any noise. I assumed this was something to do with the power thats going through it... Is this not the case?
