Dps Urban Cruiser

Hi, New Member here,

Lady who know nothing about cars. I have urban cruiser and the spanner light keeps coming on. Garage tested, don't know why this is occurring. On watch dog tonight they said DPS is causing problems with cars such as mine. Will this do damage to the car. It is a lease car would this be a valid reason to insist on getting changed.

It's a DPF Diesel Particulate Filter, fitted on diesel models, is yours diesel? Your car will be under warranty I assume, take it to your Toyota dealer, they must be able to tell you why the light has come on, there will be a code stored in the ECU, if it is not diesel, there could be a few reasons, faulty lambda sensor etc
