Brake Light Problem

I have just bought a brand new Aygo Ice 2 weeks ago, and have noticed that when I have stopped the car and taken the key out of the ignition, that if I press the brake pedal, the brake lights still come on. Should this happen? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you. I have now discovered the speaker in the drivers door has got some water in at the bottom.

I have a similar problem with a new Go! It wqas fixed after a few weeks with new door seals and the like. They have to water test it, then send photos to Toyota GB, who then have to authorise the mods.

This is because they dont believe that they still leak after the final design last year and so want evidence before authorising a repair.

I was not to worried as its under warranty and I got a free car while mine was been sorted.

ahh bless, its not actually a problem, 99% of cars do it! I think its some sort of safety feature, but dont quote me on that!!!

sounds like the seal wasnt put on properly, my 08 platinum hasnt had any probs.... so far! glad it got fixed under warranty although the standard Speakers aint the best in the first place but i suppose it depends what you want out of your little car. Replacements aint to expensive, however id make sure the seals fixed before shelling out!!! ;)
