Carpet

Hi guys, can anyone tell me where I can get new carpet for my 2. I'm redoing the interior and want to change from blue to red (having the trim and seats redone too - well trying to do most of it myself). I just need to source the carpet, I'll probably end up at a carpet warehouse! Any suggestions would be welcome, thanks

You'll find it difficult to get the shape right as they mould the originals to shape using heat and steam. You can normally buy proper car carpet off a roll at auto jumbles, kit car shows and the like. I would have thought your best bet though would be to hunt around for a scrapper with the colour you want so long as the interior is in good nick.

Thanks mate - wanted to get on with the job so have ordered from my local carpet shop, shouldn't be too much of a hassle as I used to fit carpets, although as you say, some of it is moulded but I feel I can get away with that, like under the seats cos you won't see it anyway. Could also try some steam from the iron!

Good luck! although its moulded its still a pain in the *****! its not as easy as you may think! i assure you!

would be good to see some pcis of your rolla wen its done! ive re trimmed mine in black and blue leather! everything! roof,pillars,seats,dash everything! looks tops too!but i am a trimmer!
