OK ive been thinking about getting a 4E-FTE but the prices and the hassle of finding a decent one is putting me off.

I was talking to a guy at my local toyota dealer and he said its better to get a turbo strapped onto my engine...

Its a Starlet SR btw.

I thought about the 5E-FHE but i want tssshhhhh noises :D :D

What should i do? :crybaby::help:

Well...

To turbo a 4E-FE you will need:

new pistons

exhaust manifold

turbo

intercooler

pipework

map sensor that can handle positive pressure

ECU or aftermarket controller that can handle +ve manifold pressure and adjust fuelling to suit.

larger fuel pump

injectors

Quite frankly, I'd go for the 4E-FTE. It will be cheaper and easier to do...

i would go with the 4e-fte aswell instead of all the work that is involved because u are only building ur engine to the 4e-fte spec for a lot more money!

Go 4E-FTE and go through www.back-yard-productions.com to get it. I just got mine from them about two weeks ago. I've been driving it since last saturday and love it.
