Avensis Rear Wiper

can anyone help, as of this morning when i got in my car,the rear window wiper wont turn off even when its in the off possition on the leaver, i,ve tried turning on and off and it still keeps going like its on the intermit wipe mode, car is 2002 avensis (only done 44000)

Welcome Ken,

1st thought was a fuse! but that would have to opposite effect. So I'm guessing that the switch inside the control arm isnt working.

Hi mate, I seem to remember from somewhere that this can be caused by water getting into the motor via the spindle causing this problem, worth checking it as it will only cost you your time.
