Verson Central Locking System Failure

In the last few days I have experienced problems with the remote fob key deactivating the alarm system and opening the door locks.

This evening I had a total failure in so far as, I stood next to the car, pressed the unlock button and nothing happened, not even the indicator lights flash twice and when I opened the door manually the alarm sounded. This happened a number of times and each time I had to wait for the alarm to silence itself. Finally my husband walked about 8 feet away and clicked the remote button and all came back to life and the central locking responded.

This incident followed a whole weekend of being able to press open on the remote but this only disabled the alarm and then had to manually open the door and each other door from the inside.

Anyway expereincing the same problem.

Have you tried using both keys? If it's only doing it on one key, then it could just be a low Battery.

Thanks for your response. Its doing it with both keys. Funny though. All is back to normal.

Had the same this morning, ( no response from either key fob )had to use the key to unlock and SORRY to the neighbours who suffered a 6 am, on a Sunday, early wakening, But, may sound weird I had put several damp potted plants in the car the night before, weather that is relevant who knows. Once entered the car was fine all day. MYSTERY
