High Pitched Whistling @6000+ Tsport

Its been like it for months from when i got the car, originally I thought it was ment to do it.. But when my lifters are about to kick in a whistle appears.. About 5500rpm onwards. Any ideas?

I've been told it sounds a lot worse from the out side! Anyone had similar issue?

Is the whistle to do with the engine speed or vehicle speed? If vehicle speed then you wipers may be non-standard which can make it whistle, but if it's engine.... are you sure it's not a Compressor!? :P

Its definatly the engine as its at high revs and not just high speed.. To begin with I thought it sounded quite good, like a charger or turbo but my friends have had tsports and both didn't make my noise.. I wish it was a compressor lol. Will try and sort a vid then link to YouTube maybe.. Without speeding :-/

Huh? No it's still a problem, been like it since I got it a few months ago, doesn't seem to affect performance though.. Still goes like a gun

Have realised the whistle happens only when My foots on the throttle, if I let off whilst in high revs it goes away.. Starts around 5000rpm+, sounds quite mean from inside the car but from the outside it sounds like I've ran over a few cats!

have you got an induction kit?? maybe thats whats causing the noise,

No it's a standard air box, found a few holes on it that someone's drilled so filled them up temporary but hasn't made a difference, from inside the car it sounds like front end noise, from outside it sounds like its from the exhaust.. It's gettin annoying though!
