Auto Windows Not Working

Hello, I have an Avensis 2.2 D-4D T180 2007 model and over the weekend my Battery died. I have now replaced it but the electric windows won't work on auto, I have to keep hold of the switch to fully open and close them. Is there a way to reset these back to auto?

Press the down button and at the bottom, when it stops keep the button depressed for a few seconds, Release and do the same upwards. This how my 2001 does it.

My windows were not working... just followed this advice, and...

HOORAY! Windows are now working in manual and auto modes.

on mine (08 old shape),don't do anything,it comes back on it's own but sometimes takes a couple of hours or a day and they come back one at a time,in no particular order!

Never had this happen on my avensis but this has happened on my Auris, works a treat.
