On your bootlid on the inside is two little panels, pop these off with a screwdriver. You will see theres another metal panel on the left needing removed with two screws and on the right you can see where the wires lead to the bulb. This whole unit will twist to the left and then slide out giving you access to the bulb.

thanks for the info but i need to take the cover off the outside too needs replacing how do i take that off?

Theres a little plastic clip that you can see on the inside when you take the bulb out, looks like a little wedge. Press it in at one side and that side of the cover should pop out. You just have to work it free from there.
