Mot Failure

well the gen 6 was in for mot, and she failed, on emissions in carbon monoxide excessive, hc excessive and lambda outwith limit all on second test, and front brakes binding, any advice on dealling with these would be great, it a 1.8 st and its p reg

Sounds like it needs a damn good service. When was the last service done?

Binding brake is cheaper to replace than to rebuild. Contact a scrappy.

I serviced it with new oil, and spark plugs what else should I have done, also coolant change, power steering fluid and will be doing brakes this week

I believe the MAF and Lambda sensors are inspected and cleaned/replaced at some point between 60k-100k.

Either of those being dirty/faulty could cause this issue.
