Electronic Height Control?

There's no mention of it in the braking system components in the repair manual, I think the dealer is after your money :sneaky2:

If you never use it why fork out the expense to replace it ?

Things on a car that don't work even if you don't use them can cause the car to fail an MOT.

They can, but not if they're nothing to do with the roadworthyness.

E.g. if the park assist doesn't work it won't fail the MOT.

I know I said it looked like a brake load sensor but upon further research I found no mention of it in the braking system components in the repair manual, I think the dealer is after your money :sneaky2:

Did your research confirm that this componant is fitted to all Prius? even those without the Park Assist feature?

The manual covers all models so it doesn't actually say.

If I look at the parts catalogue the height sensor is only listed for the face lifted model (2005 onwards). The 2003-2005 models have electronic brake force distribution too so they should have the sensor if it is related to the braking system. Park assist wasn't available until the facelift.
