My Battery died last week and since i put a new one in my MPG is showing around 25 - 30, where as it was showing 40 - 50 before,

is there a reason why this is happening?

im pretty sure the car is running around 40+MPG but the computer is saying less

is there a way to sort this?

cheers

You could just disconnect the Battery again for a short while and see if it cures itself.

i think i read a post on here about the same problem not sure if there is some means of curing the fault without disconnecting the Battery.

Good luck.

or have you just been doing short trips in the car since the new Battery and this is your current average mpg? try resetting the mpg gauge and going for a drive

the computer has just reset its self,so if you not driven far it'll be low because you average is low,ie no long drives to bring the average up
