Inhabitants of this forum clearly know a lot more about Toyota hybrids than Toyota are prepared to let on, and for that I'm more than pleased to be with you!

I got a Yaris Hybrid T4 last October and you have answered many of my questions while i've been getting used to the new world of hybrid driving. However most of you seem to have the Prius (perhaps understandably - there's a lot more of you). I know that the Yaris has a similar system but the Prius division into Gen I, II and III is a puzzle. Which one is closest to the system I've got in my Yaris?

Think it's gen 3 technology with a revised 1.5l engine, some one correct me if I'm wrong

Same Hybrid technology as a Prius III albeit smaller and lighter but with a revised Prius II 1.5l engine
