When I drive my rav4 for more than 5-10 miles it smells hot when the vents are open/on. None of my gauges are spiking no lights are coming on and nothing is low fluid wise. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the club Grace

When was the last time the pollen filter was changed? Just wonder if it is clagged up and affecting air flow?

I didn't realize there was a pollen filter... where would I find it in the engine? Is it the same thing as the air filter? Haha

Hi Grace,

have you come across our sister(?) group http://www.rav4world.com/forums/ ?

several of us here belong to both groups but they are more familiar with the USA spec models and seem a very helpful and knowledgeable group of guys. You're more than welcome here anytime though

I hope to God you have sat-nav on that Glasgow spec SR you're forever polishing Kev, if you're unaware Gracie was a Lancashire Lass from that little bit of Heaven known as Rochdale :bored: , you're gonna struggle finding forum members in central PA, or even central Paisley for that matter. :D

Glad you brought this up Grace.

Just looked at my pollen filter for the first time..its got stuff growing in it -;)

It should be made a SSSI.

As the guide says its a 5 min job.

Rochdale like many small lancashire towns used to be a thriving little place, but since the recession and the metro link its now a bit of a ghost town.

It does though have one of the most atchitecturally brilliant town halls in the land.

as recently featured on bbc's Question time.

And not forgetting its now infamous MP Big Cyril.

If you're unfamiliar with Big Cyril, he was a Landcruiser among M.P's. Big, greedy and expensive to run. Show him your blocked pollen filter and he would have possibly eaten it.
