The event included a flogging workshop

What was described as a ‘relationship support’ meeting booked at a village hall has been cancelled after it emerged it was in fact a bondage workshop.

Peer Rope Cambridge, a group which supports the bondage, discipline, sadism and masochism (BDSM) community, planned the £10 bondage workshops for Saturday October 12.

It promised to offer fetish fans affected by the economic downturn ‘kink on a budget’ tips, with tea and biscuits thrown in.

Caning lessons were due to be held in the small hall where, according to the group’s website: ‘Mr Allen will show you how to truly get a bottom’s attention with canes’.

In the main hall, it added: ‘Mistress Bond will chair a group discussion on how to ensure your sessions go with a bang!’

There was to be a session focusing on ‘violence/resistance play’ and then a break for lunch when ‘Maid Sarah’ was to serve ‘sandwiches, crisps and fruit’.

After the snacks, ‘Ian from The London Tanners will take you through a variety of impact play methods and implements suitable for spanking both naughty and “not-so-naughty” bottoms’.

In the afternoon, participants were invited to take part in relationship counselling in the main hall, or a flogging workshop in the small hall next door.

Trumpington Village Hall normally caters for the elderly and childcare groups

But when the Trumpington Village Hall found out about the true nature of the event, it cancelled the booking.

Venue manager Barbara Fernandez, 51, said she accepted the booking in good faith and that the venue is usually for ‘little old ladies and childcare groups’.

She said: ‘The woman who made the booking said the group would be doing one thing, but they were doing something else.

‘On the forms she said it was a “relationship support group meeting’” But it is not. It is bondage. It did not say bondage on the booking form.

‘We provide services for little old ladies and child care groups. Some of our little old ladies who come to play Bingo will be upset.

‘It is not a question of what activities they are doing, it is more about lying to us. We take things in good faith when they fill out the booking form.

‘We do not bang on the doors to find out what people are doing. We expect people to be honest about they are using the halls for.’

BDSM social group Cambridge Kink has stated on Twitter that the bondage workshop event has been cancelled.

No-one from Peer Rope Cambridge or Cambridge Kink was available to comment but Red Yaris 54 was reported to be close to tears.... :crybaby:
