Dvd Sound Through Speakers

Hi all, I have a 56 plate Corolla Verso T180. It's a great car but the really annoying thing is I can't see an easy way to play the built in DVD players sound through the car stereo Speakers. The kids hate wearing the wireless headphones so I would really like to get it to play through the Speakers. Has anyone managed to do this?

There is an old post in here from a couple of years plus ago, where someone took the phono outputs from the DVD to a jack socket, and then used that for a MP3 type radio taransmitter to send to the in car radio.
