Abs And Handbrake Light On At Same Time

I clipped a kerb in my 2001 140 Celica at the weekend (tore out two tyres and slightly bent the rim, that bit's all sorted). But since then, my ABS light and handbrake light have both been permanently on.

I've run the ABS diagnostics, which tell me that the fault is with the rear offside sensor, and it doesn't clear if I do the press-brake-pedal-eight-times thing. But I can't figure out what could be going on with the handbrake light.

I've topped up on brake fluid (it was at the low end, but not ridiculous), so I think I've ruled that out.

What could happen as a result of an impact that could cause both lights to come on, and what's the likely solution?

There is a two-wire plug that appears to plug in behind the hub, which I am guessing might be the ABS hookup - how would I know? - but it is quite a sloppy fit - it's in, but doesn't look like it'd stay there.

Your guidance much appreciated!

ETA: and I suppose I have to ask - is there any reason why my car might not be safe to drive as it stands?
